Convert To Markdown provides:

  • Document conversion services (Excel, Word, PDF, PowerPoint to various formats)
  • API access for programmatic conversions
  • Zero-storage architecture for privacy
  • Subscription-based Pro features

3. Account Registration

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • One account per person or legal entity
  • You must be at least 13 years old

3.2 Account Security

  • Keep your password and API keys confidential
  • Notify us immediately of unauthorized access
  • You are responsible for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

  • Priority processing
  • Email support

5.3 Billing Terms

  • Billed monthly in advance
  • Payments processed by Stripe
  • No refunds for partial months
  • 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled

5.4 Price Changes

  • 30 days notice for price increases
  • Existing subscribers maintain current price for 12 months
  • You may cancel if you disagree with price changes

6. Service Limitations

6.1 File Limits

  • Maximum file sizes as per your plan
  • Certain file types may not be supported
  • Complex files may fail to convert
  • No guarantee of perfect conversion

6.2 Availability

  • Service provided "as is"
  • No guarantee of uptime
  • Maintenance may cause interruptions
  • API rate limits apply

6.3 Conversion Accuracy

  • Best effort conversion
  • Formatting may not be preserved perfectly
  • Formulas converted to values
  • Some features may be lost in conversion

7. Intellectual Property

  • You retain all rights to your documents

  • We don't claim ownership of your content
  • You warrant you have rights to upload content

  • The Service and its original content remain our property
  • Our trademarks and logos are protected
  • Open source components subject to their licenses
  • You may not copy our user interface

8. Privacy and Data

8.1 Zero Storage

  • Documents are never stored
  • Processing occurs in memory only
  • No backups or copies retained

8.2 Data Processing

  • Files processed on secure infrastructure
  • No human access to your documents
  • Automatic deletion after processing
  • No data mining or analysis

9. API Terms

9.1 API Access

  • Requires Pro subscription
  • Subject to rate limits

  • No sharing of API keys

9.2 API Restrictions

  • No reselling API access
  • Must identify your application
  • Comply with rate limits
  • No automated account creation

10. Termination

  • Error-free operation
  • Perfect conversions
  • Compatibility with all file types
  • Preservation of all formatting

12. Limitation of Liability

12.1 Maximum Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS OR $100, WHICHEVER IS LESS.

12.2 Excluded Damages

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect damages
  • Consequential damages
  • Lost profits
  • Lost data
  • Business interruption

12.3 Exceptions

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitation of liability, so the above may not apply to you.
